Crown King and Desoto Mine trail
by  4Runner  06/03/2009
Trail Story
This is an absolutely intense trail containing multiple obstacles. This trail has a bit of everything; off camber, ruts, and steep hill climb and steep descents. On one of the steep descents you have to drop over a large boulder ledge that will test your skid plates. This trail has a large number of long, steep hills. There are big, sharp rocks everywhere. This trail was run by Toyota engineers in a fifth generation 4Runner prototype. These prototypes were driven over 900 miles off-road for testing purposes.
Trail Tips
Airing down your tires is a must. This trail should not be done with stock suspension. This trail should be done with a group, the more experienced you are, the better you will do.

Nice to see the new 4Runner in its natural habitat. Can’t wait to see it in person.
